This class features some simple but delicious recipes I think you'll enjoy sharing with your family and friends. Nothing fancy . . just good! Enjoy some fresh, home-style summer veggies with a little New Orleans flare! We'll start with Meat Stuffed Red Bell Peppers; Smothered Okra and Tomatoes; and Corn Pudding and a surprise dessert!

In this class we will discuss the distinction between organics and sustainable wines and sample them with dishes prepared using organic produce and Devonshire grass fed Beef from Off the Vine Organic Produce. We'll sample and compare the Axis Napa Sauvignon Blanc and Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc Reserva from Chile with Toasted Walnut Crusted Goat Cheese over Mixed Greens with Grilled Peaches and Lemon Vinaigrette;
Veramonte Primus Bordeaux style blend from Chile with Seared Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese and Caramelized Onions in Demi Glace and Rupert & Rothschild Baron Edmond 2007 with Boca Negra (Black Mouth) Cake with Dark Berry Reduction and Chocolate Espresso Syrup.

If you were going to take only one cooking class in your whole life...this should be the one! In this-hands on class you will learn all about the most important tool in your kitchen, your knife. You'll learn how knives are made, how they should be handled, maintained and stored and most importantly how each style of knife should be used. You'll receive hands on instruction on paring, boning, slicing, chopping, dicing and mincing. We'll have various knives for you to use in class but it's important that you bring from home your 2 favorite knives; preferably a short blade and longer blade knife. You'll get a FREE custom Kitchenique Microthin cutting mat to use in class and we'll make a Red Gazpacho soup and sandwiches out of all your hard work to enjoy after class.
