In this class we'll sample the amazing value wines of Stonecap from the Monson Family Estates in the Columbia Valley. We'll learn about one of the great wine growing areas of Washington State and sample the Stonecap Riesling paired with an Asian Spiced Cedar Planked Salmon with Cucumber, Apple relish; Stonecap Chardonnay with a salad of Marinated Goat Cheese, Nectarines and Butterhead Lettuce with D'Anjou Pear Vinaigrette; Marinated Skirt Steak topped with Blue Cheese Butter will accompany the Stonecap Cabernet Sauvignon and Bing Cherry Tart with Habanero Fudge Sauce will be served with the 2007 Syrah.

We'll start with a Smoothie made with honeydew melon, kiwi, spinach and limes; Zesty red pepper cheese dip made with cashews, yellow onion, honey, nutritional yeast & ground cumin. Spicy Asian"peanut" noodles: Cashews, Almonds or almond butter, water, nama shoyu, honey, sesame oil, yellow onion, ginger, apple cider, garlic lemon ,cayenne...served on Zucchini noodles; Marinated Baby Bok Choy; and for the dessert Coconut Ice Cream made with cashews, almond milk, coconut milk, coconut butter and agave. First we'll make a Chilled Red Gazpacho with a garnish of Bay Scallop and Cucumber Ceviche; one of my all time favorite summer appetizers which I can make a meal out of New Orleans style Marinated Blue Crab Claws; Smokey Shrimp Salad Po Boys with Sliced Tomato and Marinated Seared Fresh Tuna and White Bean Salad over Arugula with Garlic Baguette. Let's chill out and enjoy some delicious seafood!

We've enjoyed featuring the wines of Francis Ford Coppola and especially his "Sofia" creations. This class was inspired by two of his very latest offerings which were blended especially for Dim Sum. We'll sample a selection of "dim sum" inspired dishes to compliment the Sofia Sparkling Blanc de Blanc with Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps; Sofia Rose served with Steamed Pork Pearl Balls, the brand new Su Yuen Riesling with Gruyere Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Su Yuen Syrah with Chinese Barbecue Pork.
